YT's Cell Phones - Ebay Seller Name is cellphoneforever or ytshopping2008

I have not yet received my refund or a new phone.  I would NOT recommend purchasing anything from YT's Cell Phones also known as cellphoneforever on Ebay.

I purchased a phone from an Ebay seller named cellphoneforever.  The item that I received was defective, and they asked me to just mail it via USPS First Class Mail.  I returned the item to them via USPS Priority Mail, and it shows that the post office received the item.

I gave the seller the tracking number, and they then replied by asking me if I wanted a refund or an exchange for another phone.  I asked them for another phone and did not receive it.  I then filed a claim with PayPal and I still have not received a phone nor a refund.

It is obvious that the seller had no intention of giving me a refund, because they wanted me to just return the item via USPS First Class Mail.  They also did not communicate with me via Ebay, because they obviously did not want Ebay or PayPal to see that they offered to give me a refund or another phone.

I have purchased a phone from them before, and it worked.  I am assuming that if the phone works, you won't have a problem with YT's Cell Phones also known as cellphoneforever on Ebay.  If on the other hand the phone does not work, it is a good idea to use USPS Priority Mail and to ask for a signature of receipt.  This way you will be able to ask the credit card company to reverse the charges.

I usually do not immediately leave negative feedback regarding a seller on Ebay, because I give them the opportunity to resolve a problem.  Unfortunately, if the problem is not resolved within 60 days I am unable to leave negative feedback.  Lesson learned:  Immediately leave negative feedback, and once it is resolved you will then be able to state the seller resolved the problem.  It is a way in which the seller will have to resolve the problem.

These guys are the biggest scam artists ever, i did the exact same thing. my cell phone would not work i sent it back they kept saying they would give me a refund to keep me happy and then after 45 days stopped responding and ripped me off and will never give my money back. For all of you looking at there items never buy from them again there products are fake and they are huge scammers! i am verrrry anggrryyy!!!!!

  5. you shouldnt have bought items outside ebay. If you did buy it on ebay, if the seller doesnt reply your messages, you should escalate the case to costumers support and they will refund you the money.

  7. Unfortunately, I placed my order through eBay and eBay did not refund the money. I should have used my American Express card, because it's easier to dispute the charge with American Express than using eBay and PayPal's process. I'm just hoping that people read this blog before they purchase their item from YT's Cell Phones, cellphoneforever or ytshopping2008. I have learned my lesson. Whenever I return anything to anyone, I use proof of delivery with Domestic or International Return Receipt service.

  8. To get your money back, we all need to open a paypal dispute. If its past the time to open one, you can ring up and they will open it then auto close it. This leaves it on his record, then if a few people do it, they reopen all cases and try resolve it. I've already done it, just waiting for others to do the same now.

  9. I have the same problem. I have bought one phone from them. It didn't work and I returned it back for another one. The other one was again with a defect and I requested refund. I send it to them back and still do not get refund for that!!!

  10. I purposely posted this blog so that people would NOT purchase items from these people! You would think that eBay would notice that there are numerous complaints about the seller stating that they never received the cell phone from the buyer. I'm going to check back with eBay to see if I can make a complaint AGAIN regarding a refund that I have NEVER received. They'll probably tell me that the complaints need to be made within a month.

    Bought item which was not original, sent it back in December 2011 and my post office reports proves that they have received he item. But they are still not refunding.

  19. I opened a formal complaint to ebay, talked with a security guy and he said they would be investigating. If you guys want to add your voice, by all means do it, especially if you have the emails of these cowards saying they received the phone and will refund you before they see it's over 45 days, laugh it out and put you on ignore list. Don't forget you should have more than 90 days to call your bank or credit card company to chargeback the transaction.

  20. I also opened a formal complaint. The person said that he was surprised that cellphoneforever is still a seller on ebay, since he has 64 negative feedbacks this month alone. I asked for a chargeback for my transaction, but since I used PayPal I did not receive a chargeback. PayPal took the seller's side. The seller ended up with the defective phone and my money! I can NOT believe they are rated as being Top Rated Sellers. Maybe if others made a FORMAL complaint, cellphoneforever will no longer be able to sell on ebay. Then again... they'll just sell using another name.

  21. I received a defective phone as well.
    When I was told to return it and a replacement will be sent, I did so. The replacement never showed up & now they do do reply to my emails or phone calls.
    I've just finished speaking to customer service at ebay. They gave me the same run around.
    I expressed, these people are obviously scammers, why would ebay allow them to stay active? The poor service rep had no reply; its not her fault & what can SHE do?
    If a petition of some sort can be brought up against this & other scammers and get them removed, I'm all for it

    CAN THIS PHONE BE REPAIRED IN NOKIA SERVICE CENTER?? OR IS IT A PERMANENT DEFECTIVE PHONE??

    2. Same thing happend also to me. I ordered an Htc Desire Z. They send me a desire Z with T mobile G2's keyboard and OS! The mobiles they sell are surely refurbished. Mine right now has a big problem with the internal antenna/receiver. It loses the signal all the time with the outcome of tremendous battery draining! It stays on for an average of 12 hours! They offered a refund but I declined and asked for the spare part... they said they don't have any!

  26. I will share mine experience too. I have bought HTC TYTN II but they sent me HTC TYTN. Then they told me that they can give me a refund or can resend TYTN II after I send them back this one. So I took the refund of 20bucks. Everything ok, but after 5months I managed to break phone.

    Then I bought Motorola Dext mb220 ( they sent me Motorola Cliq mb200 , but they are same phones, just different version ). When I paid the money I found this blog.. But they sent me working phone. So I had it also for about 6months but now it also have some problems with screen ( I believe this is for all such motorolas ). Oh, after a few days of sending money I threatened them about this blog and other negative comments. But well, I think I've got good phone for that time.

    However, now I wont try buying again from them, it seems too risky

  27. Purchased a phone and the phone was defective. They told me to send it back and they would refund money. I gave them 3 weeks and after getting the runaround, I contacted Paypal. I received my refund from Paypal after a week. If you are having issues, don't wait! File claim immediately!

  29. I am in a similar situation! Purchased a Blackberry Storm 9500 which they claimed was brand new. This phone was clearly not, after a few emails back and forth through to the seller they explained their returns policy to me however the first thing I have done is open a dispute on paypal. I will not be sending this phone back until these bastards give me my money back first! I have 100% positive feedback and they have had 111 negative feedback just for this month alone! Why should eBay and paypal trust them over me? Why should I risk sending back an item for a refund when they clearly have a long history of not refunding people!

    I thought i had The best deal for the phones.After googling the receiver for the money i found out that The Company Buys Broken PHONES and REFURBISH them And put AFTER MARKET PARTS SUCH As FAKE Batteries.SOme people i read in Forums HAD experienced THe phone heating up and Shutting off.I emailed them 20 times until they answered but they still didnt want to refund.But after CAlling Ebay and Paypal for claims And i emailed them that i have called them they got scared and refunded me the money.
    DONT BUY FROM THEMM!!!!

  32. I just can't believe that this company is getting away with it. I filed another complaint with eBay, but as usual... they tell me they're looking into it. I will ALWAYS return an item with proof of delivery, signature confirmation and insurance. They tell people to save money by not doing proof of deliver/signature confirmation/Priority Mail. Why? They do NOT want eBay or PayPal to see that they received the returned item. They just keep telling eBay or PayPal that they never received the item. The previous person was right. Order from this company, and then just say you never received the item if they mail the item without a tracking number. Then you'll break even. It's not stealing, because they owed you the refund/replacement.

I have ordered several items from this company in the past and when I placed a larger order with them for multiple phones they sent an EMPTY BOX and now WILL NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS! I purchased a Nokia N900 from these scam artists in April for my 16yo son who saved his butt off, the 1st phone i got was faulty so i sent it back & got a replacement, the 2nd phone was also faulty. I sent the phone back & they said they would refund me once they received the phone back. Well they reckon it took about 5 weeks to get back, aload of crap, i've sent them countless emails & they will not reply. I still have the emails where they promised me a refund so I have forwarded these onto ebay & paypal & they still wont help. They are just as bad as the seller. I am not giving up, I am reporting them to all the internet fraud sites. Paypal tell us to try & resolve the issue by corresponding, well its abit hard when they dont reply.

  49. I just received a phone i purchased from them, basically i purchased a "Desire Z" but received a "G2" phone, which are "technically" the same with minor differences. Don't really care much if it's "brand new" as long as it's in a brand new condition and it was and working perfectly and even hacked and installed any DZ/G2 rom.

    Instead of shipping back, i asked for 15$ money back for a next phone purchase and they agreed, so once i get the "HTC Nexus One" i will update you guys on how it arrived.

    I only give feedback after all is ok, and i've not had a single problem getting money back from eBay or PayPal, so i don't know why you are having so much problems with that.

I made arrangements with them, sent back the used phone I received, (scratches all over the keypad, suppose to be a new phone) got tired of there promises about sending out a new phone tomorrow. I had that promise daily in my inbox for more than a week. So I dispute and paypal got me my money back!!

    3G was not working and the trackpad.

    Buy a BB 9000
    BB PIN not work.
    PIN not work? Only happen when to repot the phone is stolen or lost.
    Buy a BB 9100
    Charge Pin, desoldering.
    A technician told me that was welded so many times that I was no longer repair.
    Only happen, When the phone is repaird, Exactly "refurbished".
    For the BB 9700, They PROMESE me $ 15 for the problem.
    For the BB 9900, They Told Me return for refund.
    For the BB 9100, They Told Me return for refund.
    Only the BB 9100 return.
    They fuck me my refunds for the BB 9700 ($ 15) and the BB 9000 ($ 190)
    Total $ 205. -
    The BB 9100, obviously came with the Orange logo when new phones are supposed to.
    They promise, promise and give many excuses.
    Why this? Gain time. After 45 days, no longer can claim anything on Ebay or Paypal.
    And force you to leave positive feedback in return for solving the problem.
    All refurbished phones that are sold!
    Then you put in blacklist mails and never respond to you.
    As I can do justice to these thieves and swindlers?
    Allow time and got an extension of my credit card on behalf of a relative. (My mother in this case).
    Create a new user on eBay, a new user in paypal, and perform a secondary purchase to these scammers.
    Buy a Blackberry 9900 for $ 510. -
    The same day I get home, start a paypal dispute, claiming that they had sent me an empty box.
    After a long dispute via paypal with these scammers, since the only thing I do is take your hair, believe it or not are still pulling your leg, trying to gain time, elevate the dispute to paypal.
    Paypal ruling in my favor, or for the purchaser and returned me my $ 510.
    I have my BB 9900 and my $ 510. -
    Finally justice was done, or rather, did justice. Paid in kind!
    There is a phrase very popular here in Argentina that says:
    Thief who steals from another thief, has 100 years of forgiveness.
    Actually, I'm not proud of my acting, but it really deserved to pay for their scams, with more reason to buy one acts in good faith.

    Please gentlemen, avoid buying from this ebay seller. If you already bought, or doubt, as soon as any problems arise, there will be a paypal dispute to be covered.
    Remember that the policies of ebay and paypal, are in favor of buyers.

Hie guys i bought 2 cellphones from these guys last year in july and i never received my 2 blackberry phones im in south africa ,i was stupid i bought outside ebay because they said so.I have tried many times to get my refund but still these guys are playing around with me.They aint just crooks but devils.

  60. Same story with me... issued RMA, returned defective phone, never received replacement despite numerous email.

    The lesson is, NEVER use eBay to purchase anything outside the U.S. eBay's 45 day limit on disputes is not sufficient when shipping to/from Hong Kong.

  66. I bought a LG viewty phone from SOWAYTECH a last year. It had battery charging and gkash problems on arrival. Later when I checked the IMEI number of the phone, it was different from the IMEI printed on the sticker inside the phone. This clearly means they produce fake labels and stick them on refurbished/fake phones. Better stay away...

  68. I wish I had done a search for this ebay user before I decided to trust them to refund my money. They have taken so long to send out a replacement that ebay won't do anything.     I have filed a complaint with my VISA card, and the IC3. Next will be a complaint to ebay and paypal (I doubt it will do much, since they weren't willing to help get my money back in the first place). I also included this blog in my IC3 complaint, with the hope they will see how many people are having issues with this ebay seller. If I do not make headway with eBay and Paypal, I will file a complaint with the BBB and consumer affairs for their lack of action, as it appears this has been happening for over a year now.

    1. A bit further digging on the paypal side gives this information (http://mabili123.en.ec21.com/company_info.jsp), which was also passed onto the IC3. The ironic part is that even though their phones are listed as new, this page specifically says they are refurbished. That alone should be enough for eBay to drop them.

I think i am also a victim of these rascals. i read the positive feedbacks on ebay and bought an item, three weeks already and no sign of the phone. i guess i was taken for a ride...I have a question, does ebay know who these rascals are and their operating mode? so why is this company still advertising on ebay? they should have been kicked our of ebay long back...

    After 6 months of being given the run around and no satisfaction from either E Bay or Pay Pal I have created a Facebook page with their company name. I would love to have all your comments on this page as Facebook is a great form of Meida to get the message across to Companies like these.

  70. since ebay and Paypal are refusing to do anything about it, If you are in the USA I recommend that you write your state attorney general with a complaint stating that ebay and paypal are knowingly allowing fraud and theft to occur using their services.

    Also, cellphoneforever has a habit of undervaluing their phones on their customs forms. They also told me to put phone parts on the return item to not have to pay as much on import tax. If you have written evidence of them asking you to do this... please contact me. I want to file a complaint with the US customs department and the USPS. I am sure they would want to know somebody is stealing their money.

    I am going to be putting together stuff to send out to have these guys shut down. If you have ANYTHING at all that might be helpful (emails, etc)...

    1. Wait for the phone. When it arrives, test it comprehensively. If it works ok, you can decide if it's worth the money. If not you have 2 week right of return. But, right now, contact EBAY customer support, tell them your concern and ask what rights you have. If you send the phone back, make sure to use a service with online tracking.

I started this blog, because I could not get money back from PayPal, eBay and my credit card company due to the amount of time that lapsed.   78. I too have been scammed by Cellphoneforever received a faulty phone returned it this was also faulty advised by them to return it for a full refund. Returned it on the 15th Oct now unable to contact them. This company is nothing but SCUM preying on people using eBay thinking they are protected. There is no protection after 45 days.How are they allowed to trade? They scam people and no ethics at all. SHUT THEM DOWN

      Ive also been scammed by this seller. I received a defected phone, asked for a refund, returned the item after the refund was promised... it has now been almost 2 months and i havent received the phone back or a refund. furthermore, the seller is degenerate enough to continuously ignore all the emails i have sent him.
      NOTE: EBAY AND PAYPAL WONT HELP, to be honest, they are just as messed up as the seller because this seller has been scamming people since 2010 according to the earliest reply to this thread.
      i filed online complaints... no help.
      IT STUNS ME TO REALIZE THAT PEOPLE LIKE THIS CONTINUE TO SELL ON THE INTERNET.
      KEEP FIGHTING Y'ALL... ATLEAST UNTIL THIS person is brought down.

  80. It's truly sad that they are still scamming people. It's too bad that there isn't a site that has ALL the eBay scammers so that people will stopped being ripped off. I always thought that eBay was a safe place to shop, but I guess that's if you file a complaint within a timely manner. Since the items come from Hong Kong, the allowable time frame makes it difficult to file a complaint. Now... I email the seller via eBay. If they don't respond, I just write NEGATIVE feedback. I also file a complaint. That usually resolves the problem. I no longer wait for the Hong Kong seller's response/refund/exchange. I let eBay, PayPal and my credit card company take over.

    i bought also a phone from them;got one that was only in a language i dont speak; returnd it to them and got one without a battery!!-they told me to buy one on the local market-i dont know if the phone without the battery even works-the best part was that neither ebay nor paypal help you when you are in trouble with these guys-just sorry i didnt see this blog earlyer-dont buy from them unless you want a full time occupation playing with them hide and seek!!by the way-all my contact with them was through ebays mail system-they dont monitor whats going on under their noses

  86. When i face the same problem i told them,via enay message, that i won't send the phone back cause shipping its too expensive and that i will report them to ebay forum. I request to keep the phone and i send them 50$ and they sent me another better. When i received the second one, i opened a dispute to paypal,regarding the 50$, and told them that they sold me a refurbised instead of new with imitation accessories. I requested 40$ back and they gave me. So i had 2 phones and 40 back.
    The solution for me, is not negative. Play with them and you will earn.

Hello, i experienced the same thing with theses people. i am now going through my bank and opening a dispute.I forwarded them all the emails that we exchanged, the info showing that it was delivered etc. The bank stated that they would inturn open a case with VISA who will contact cellphoneforever's bank. If he refuses to refund then they can take the decision to to ban him from VISA. I suggest that you all do the same as he will either have to refund or face a loss of revenue as he will no longer be able to trade

  90. Bought an Atrix 4G last May, wireless broke after several days, fake charger and the phone box was a total phony.

    Sent it back same like every one here described.

    The regular "waiting for your..." play to stall you till the 45 day perioud is over and you can't complain till I got the phone back.

    and got back a REFURBISHED USED phone with pictures of people in camera album... they didn't bother to reset the phone even...

    Now after several months only my camera and the "original" battery just died.

    I blame ebay for this - I just can't believe ebay scores them so high with this amount of negative feedback. If only I had google this seller and got to this post I'd never buy a chewing gum from them.

    Will post a complaint to ebay and paypal as well as suggested here.

    If people reading this didn't get it yet - DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SELLER.

  91. Just to update you guys. i opened a dispute with my bank who contacted VISA. I received a full refund as I was able to forward them all the emails that cellphone4NEVER and i exchanged showing them that i did return the defective item and that it was delivered. I never got another response from them afterwards. My bank handled it well and expeditiously as i made the complaint about three weeks ago although i bought the phone om 29th Dec 2012. The saw where I returned it in time under warranty and saw all of the interchanges. GO COMPLAIN

  92. Had same issue! Initially being cheated by this jackass. When i approached him to ask him for refund for faulty phone he asked me to ship the product without any tracking number to reduce the shipping cost. When i smelled something fishy i Google about him i found this very useful blog!! So decided to file in Paypal. He tried in many ways to make me close the paypal claim. I never listen to his word so Paypal returned me full refund. But i had lost 70$ from my hand for return shipping and customs duty charges. i Posted really bad feedback about him for that he asked me what to do make me feel happy! Here comes my chance and asked him for good phone for free of cost initially and after lot of proposals at last he accepted to give 70$ for positive feedback in return! He transferred it through Paypal and Just changed to positive with bad comment.

    P.S. DO NOT TRUST THIS JACKASS. JUST RAISE PAYPAL CLAIM AND ESCALATE IT. DO NOT LISTEN TO HIS WORDS. PLAY CLEVER guys IF BEING CHEATED ALREADY. IN FIRST PLACE AVOID BUYING ITEM FROM HIM!!! :)

  94. Yes, Cellphoneforever is a big time fraud, they sent me cell phone after 2 month and thats fake one. There numbers were fake too. I involved paypal and then they responded but took so long and now they say warrant expired. The cell phone can not read SIM and neither allow apps

Wow , I bought a HTC sensation xe listed as brand new thru them, it was advertised with beats headphones,etc but came with generic copy rubbish , charger that don't work & phone seem like a copy , poor quality when i know HTC make good quality phones. plus the phone is slow and drops windows & have to reboot at times . I stated it all to them, imade agreement to send it back & pay a bit more for the better model last night all my conversations are thru eBay,They are requesting I pay the difference now . but after reading this , i don't trust them.

    Bought HTC Desire Z, phone was sold as new, 100% second-hand, battery failed, I bought new one, genuine card did NOT work with this shit, finally USB port failed. Firstly lost data connection with PC, then stopped charging phone. They promissed me replacement if I return it to HK. Sent it, now I'm stuck as for last three weeks they are neither sending me replacement nor refund.

    What can I do. I am furious. Feel raped during day time robbery. This is against human dignity. Still they sell phones. People do not research before purchase, I was the same gallable ...

    Help me please. What to do next?????

They are liars they write that the phones are new but they are not new . I send the phones back to them but they don't refund my money and they don't send me back other phones.   109. I purchased a phone from ebay seller unlocked_nottobetied in July. It is now November and I have sent and returned 4 phones, all with one kind of defect or another. Of course, I am now outside the 45 day period for paypal, so I have no way of recovering my money. I notied the seller account 'will be away until december 31st' so I figure the account has been closed and a new one opened.
